When I was a kid my mom used to buy me tons of dolls. I kinda like them at the moment, but as I grew up, I changed my mind. I think they are scary. I mean, look at the eyes! Okay, enough said. For IF submission this week, I drew this doll to represent that "scary" theme. And FYI, I'm not good at lighting, so this is the best I could do for now.
well done - definitely creepy scary...what's she hiding behind the heart? This is particularly creepy for me because as a child (maybe as an adult too..) I was terrified of porcelain dolls...way to make those memories come to life =)
ReplyDeleteI'm not afraid of dolls-- in fact I still have quite a few-- yet I do think they're a tad creepy, & your illo really brings out the brrrr factor! The shadow from her bonnet cast over those white-less eyes... I don't think I'll be adopting this one!!
ReplyDeleteVery scary, I have lots dolls from when i was little which really are quite horrible looking, but I thought they were so cute. And I agree Porcelain dolls are the worst! well done ;)
ReplyDeleteI think your lighting looks great! And, as for dolls, I know we are in agreement about dolls being scary (which is why I have my guy doing what he's doing on my IF Scary post ;) ). Your drawing is very effective!
ReplyDeleteGreat drawing! I love all those little details on the dress and little bonnet. Definitely creepy.
ReplyDeletei see you point here, really scary! but its a really good drawing. :)

ReplyDeletewell, I sometimes draw an image based on another picture but I am now trying hard to draw my own imagination :)
